History

A thought planted by the Lord into the hearts of Jill and E.J. Bird in 2003 has blossomed into reality in the foothills of Glassy Mountain. Blue Ridge Christian Academy (BRCA) broke ground in April 2004 and opened in August that same year with 24 students in K-5 through 6th grade in two buildings. The school was founded with a dual emphasis on quality academics and shepherding children’s hearts as we come alongside parents. The Lord’s favor has been on the school as He has grown it to 140 students in Kindergarten to High School.
