With projected growth for 2010-11 to
around 200 students, plans are in process for a
new structure which will take us to over 50,000 square feet of
educational space. The first phase of this plan is underway with the
construction of the gymnasium. The second building will house a larger library, larger classrooms for art and
music, a weight room and seven additional classrooms.
- The combined cost of the new structure is approximately $3.5 million.
- Larger rooms for the arts will
enhance the art, music, drama, and creative movement programs.
- The gymnasium will enhance our
existing sports facilities (soccer and baseball fields) and the
athletic offerings to students.
Future Enrollment Predictions
- BRCA expects to have waiting lists
for several classes for the 2010-11 school year. Additional
classroom space provided by the new facility will enable BRCA to add
third sections of K-5, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades as well as second
sections of 4th and 5th grades. It will also allow us to accommodate
our expected growth to 495 students by the 2015-16 school year
without compromising our small class sizes.
