Student Life

Student Life is actually better described as Family Life at Blue Ridge Christian Academy. BRCA comes alongside parents in shepherding their children’s hearts. We believe it is important to involve the entire family in school activities. Parents are encouraged to attend field trips, lend a helping hand in the classroom, and participate in special events like Math and Science Night.

Life is never dull at BRCA. Every week brings something new and exciting. The most basic things turn into an adventure. This year’s picture day turned into a tractor-pulled hayride to various locations on the 260 acres on which our campus is located. Recess might involve a nature hike to the Middle Tyger River or lunch could turn into a picnic overlooking Glassy Mountain on the patio.

Fields trips are a regular part of our curriculum. Students venture off campus for field trips to plays at the Peace Center, Science in the Park at Dollywood, Space Camp in Alabama, the Circus, Apple Orchards, Charleston, Roper Mountain Science Center, Bloom, and the Fire Department just to name a few!

Our campus setting is spectacular! Nature is all around us. The spectacular views of Glassy Mountain can be seen from many classroom windows, the playground, and sports fields. The tree line hides trails to the banks of the Middle Tyger River, and there is often a horse or two within view. The playground equipment is designed for creative fun and exercise. The regulation baseball and soccer fields are great for PE and pick-up games after school.

Friday Chapels always make a great start to the day. Students and faculty sing praises to the Lord, spend time in prayer, and learn about God’s Word and our wonderful Savior. Chapel is lead by teachers, students, and special guests throughout the year. Parents are always welcome to join in worship!

Students (and families) can also get involved through Athletics and Clubs.
